Love is in the Air

Love is in the air ♥ and I am not only talking about the “usual” stereotyping of what love might be though it is the Valentine season .

The Chinese around the world also celebrates the New Lunar Year, ie ushering the year of the Snake (zodiac sign) today! Firecrackers and fireworks can be heard at the stroke of midnight, warding off bad spirits and negative vibrations and ushering new hope for a better and more wonderful year… joys, love, happiness, good health and prosperity!

Families get together for a reunion dinner (yesterday) on the eve of New Year. Familial Love is abundance, and parents gifted their young with red packets and vice versa, children wishes their parents with phrases of goodwill, happiness and prosperity.

This morning I woke up to such sweet aroma of the preparation of the Long Life Noodles with Red Rice Wine Chicken, to usher in wishes for longevity and wishes for luck, abundance and prosperity.
