Hey all,… Wishing you a wonderful Father’s Day celebration.:)
I have short post to share with you today… coz I have to clean up my work space for my new project tomorrow. So lots of cleaning and reorganising later :(… Wish I could spend that time crafting :p.
This creation follows the wonderful sketch by 365 days Super Sketchy Sunday… and I had decided to flip the sketch for this card :D. Note the pic with card, I had just gotten an old typewriter from a garage sale… so excited.. hope to make some projects with it… 😀
Happy happy weekend everyone.. :). I am feeling fabulous today :D. I just enjoy posting, coz seriously everytime when I post, I always have this smile on my face.. It always feel like I am having a conversation with you.. well I am lol. As a person, my friends notices most about me is my broad smiles…….. 🙂
Okie… today I am sharing with you a card that I made for 3 challenges – 365cards, 2 Sketches 4 You and Cardabalities. The 365 cards calls for the use of fabric with a twist. So I finally broke my Sew Lovely stamp set by Lawn Fawn. I had it with for a while waiting for the right occasion to play 🙂 and gorgeous lace from Courtney.
I hope you fabulous ladies like this card coz you gals (plural) are sew lovely :D… As always, thank you for stopping by :D! Happy Weekend!
This card I made for a dear friend, who is going thru a difficult time. I was thinking abt making the card since last week, but just couldnt get down to it. However, two things inspired this creation… the beautiful colour combo card that I love from Be(e)Stamped , she makes awesome cards and the sketch from OCC.
I had wanted to make a card to show support and strength… So I chose nature, because nature has always been one of my source of comfort and stillness esp in time of difficulty. I had used this Unity stamp set that I got for the spiritual encouragement. The colour combo is just yummy, orange for spunkyness and hope and chocolatey… for comfort.
I hope this card brings a smile to her and know that I am with you, my dear. 🙂
Have a good day everyone.

Hi all, its good to be back :D. I travelled from my hometown this morning and I am back at 365 cards. I have missed both of you :D.
Did you ever have an awkward moment turned into something totally pleasant. Well.. lol. I had booked a seat with a local taxi to get back to KL and normally this kinda taxi takes other 3 passengers as well, so you only pay for the seat that you take. Well, when the cab came to my bro house this morning, I was a little taken aback to know that my ex bf mum .. lol seated in the cab… we had hardly ever spoken to each other. Totally awkward, but we broke the ice.. and the journey was pleasant and found her to be a nice person, and I think we parted as friends.. lol… well.. I think people mature and moved on and I am glad I got to experience the journey today :D.
Back to card.. I am thrilled with my first cupcake card… a very simple cupcake that is dressed in bold stripes, and ribbons and glitter. I kinda like this card, coz its the first :). I have been searching for so long to get a cupcake stamp set.. and finally settling for Hero Art cupcake.
I have had a good day and glad to be back.. I hope you do to 😀
Cardstock : lime green Bazzill, patterned paper from stash
This posting shares my greatest disappointment of my trip back home to Sitiawan. This is because, we are losing a gorgeous beach to an steel iron factory!! This is a personal sharing… from my experience and relating to certain individual.
A bit about this beach. Teluk Rubiah (Rubiah Bay) is a 15mins drive from Sitiawan. For the locals, most of us go to Teluk Batik (Batik Bay) for a swim and picnic when we were kids… but nearby Teluk Batik was another gorgeous beach, more beautiful than Teluk Batik but rather uninhibited and used, because you would need to hike over a small hill to go over to Teluk Rubiah. During school days, a few of us went over the a rough terrain by motorbikes to the beach. When we came back I almost fell into the ravine…. but luckily didnt, but I did burn my leg with the smoking hot ekzo pipes. So I do have a special memories of the place lol.. It was beautiful, untouched and hidden away beach.. for the lack of access.
Then it was bought over and they build the Teluk Rubiah Golf & Country Resort. It is no longer a public property. I remember feeling dissappointed years ago when this happened. Over the years, the resort has been poorly maintained :(. But to my dismay, when I went there last weekend, I was told by the reception, the resort is shutting down, the entire place is bought over by a Brazilian company who will be building a steel/iron factory there.. what!!! Beach replaced by an iron factory????
I went by the beach again yesterday and took a few photos so that I can share this place as it is now. I felt sad, that this is a sad thing to be happening to Sitiawan folks… and Manjung district… to lose such a beautiful and gorgeous beach. The beach is within 20 meters from its current chalets. I would miss staying at the chalets and waking up to the sounds of the waves hitting the beach..
Hi all, hows the week coming along… Mine has been rather busy though in Sitiawan.. many things to do and still see :).. I will be doing some posting later on abt Sitiawan.. so stay tuned!! Another heads up.. tomorrow we celebrate Bak Chang festival..
I was itching to play my pti stamp and make a card but… I realise I didnt pack very well, cos.. I dont have most of what I needed.. sigh:(. I even have to dig my mum stores for any buttons hehehe.. and her sewing kit for the thread/string and rummage thru my nephew Samuel colour pencil kit for some colours lol.. hmm.. got to pack better next time.
So this is the outcome.. not my best, but the best that I could come up with whatever I have at hand lol.
Cardstock: local kraft material, kraft
Stamp : pti (damask/in bloom) totally heart this set 🙂
Today is another special post… :D.. Many special post as I am still in my hometown. I have brought limited supplies for a few days here to make cards, and I managed to pick up a pti parcel from post office before I came to Sitiawan. So the posting for a couple of days will be interesting, as I have got to find ways to make cards from what I have :D.
This card today, is joint card I made with my nephew Samuel (11 years old). He made this card for his mum, whose birthday is approaching. He was excited when he saw my little craftbag and the ink and I broke my pti picnic set to play with him for the sentiment. He got his inspiration from one the card I was making for my friends (yeah I have decided to do a mass of 1 card I made earlier as shown in the pic).
He wanted the pti background text style. We did the stamping together. He chose the patterned paper and cut it.. see the uneven sides lol. Before this, he asks for flowers and wanted a tag that was in craft bag. I had just crochet two of this flower at my bro house. He took one, coz he wanted it for his mum card.. smart boy lol. I put the glue, he adheres them, and he asks for a button for the flower, he chose the colour of the button. I gave the white pen.. he doodled the hearts. I did help him to tie the ribbon, but he specified how he want to get it tied. I must say.. this young boy has got an eye for colour coordination and pattern. When I suggest that he uses certain design.. he says .. let me think about it… lol.
So this is the output. The process of making is wonderful. And I do love the outcome of it. He wants me to post this little masterpiece and share this with his friends in Facebook 🙂
