A wonderful Get Together <3

I have a weekend away last week with my catholic uni mates..a roadtrip visiting Penang (northern part of West Malaysia) and staying at our university guest house, overlooking the Penang Bridge, reunion with friends, witnessing the ordination of our beloved chaplain as the Bishop of Penang Diocese and more reunions… have been a fab trip… and a great walk down the memory lane. I have had a fantastic uni days when I studied in this local university in Penang :).

Gathering of my catholic  uni mates ( only a fraction of us were able to gather)… it was a fabulous reunion
view of the Penang Bridge early morning from our guesthouse in University Science Malaysia (where I studied 1988-92) … a tiny pic, taken from ipad
no roadtrip is complete without digging into the local hawker food esp when you are in Penang, famed for its hawker food 🙂
Clockwise: Otak-otak (steamed fish paste in banana leaf), steamed yam cake garnished with fried onion with chili sauce to go, Lobak (centrepiece, freshly made paste and crispy fried of fish, meat paste and tofu, and sauces – yumminess) and at the bottom, spicy prawn noodles with chunks of pork ribs

This week we have a new sketch for you, check out the lovely sketch by Pam Maas this week. My take for the sketch is rather simple. I played with colours to bring out the simple elements that I have used, in this case bold purple …. a colour which I would normally stay away from{grin}.

this week Super Sketchy Sunday sketch over at 365cards 🙂

Wishing all Muslims friends and readers a Blessed Eid

This month has been a crazy month… a month of cleaning and preparation. Spent the whole month cleaning, and still cleaning :p. Its a project almost equals to Clean House :(… I am embarrassed lol… I hope to share with you some really good news in weeks to come…. fingers crossed.

Anyways, my neighbour thought that we were preparing for Muslim festivities …The Muslims all around the world, after a month of fasting, today welcome the New Year festivities. I would like to wish all my Muslim friends, readers and crafters around the world Happy and Blessed EID 🙂

Today, I am out of town, visiting Penang and staying in my university guest house and meeting up with my uni mates… I am more than excited

Tomorrow we celebrate the ordination of our former chaplain, when we were still students in the university, as the Bishop of Penang Diocese. We were thrilled with the ordination and a chance for all of us to meet again. 🙂

This week, over at 365cards, we have another fabulous sketch by Pam Maas. And the above card is inspired by the sketch. It has been such a fun one to play.

A day of blessings :)

Hi peeps,

I am a little late in today’s posting. I have had such a busy and blessed day :). Today I became a godma for the third time. Such a blessing to be invited to be part of one’s life. Warms the heart. My goddaughter is a gorgeous babe named Lareina. 🙂

Hubby and I with our gorgeous god daughter Lareina, right after her christening 🙂

Today too, I share with you a card I made inspired by this lovely sketch by Pam Maas :). My apologies for the quality of the card pic as my camera battery went kaput on me and the battery charger didnt want to work. Maybe its time, for a little something new :p
