Foochow Food

I am a Foochow. Foochow are traditionally known to be in the areas of farming and logging in Malaysia. We are also known to be hardworking, esp the women :p. Our ancestors hail from province of Foochow, the southern east of China, near Taiwan.

Among the clan in the Foochow community, I come from the clan of Hockchiang, a subdialect of Foochow, known for its melodious sounding tune when we speak. Observers tells that Foochows are known to speak very loudly to each, almost in a high tone, but I guess it depends on individuals.. I dont think I speak very loudly at all :p. We are just special 🙂

Like all variations of culture and clans, Foochow do have some of the delicacies that very different from other chinese communities. And I would love to share of them here. It allows me to continue to learn about my roots and their love for food. 🙂

  5. I believe that avoiding highly processed foods is the first step for you to lose weight. They could taste fine, but ready-made foods have very little nutritional value, making you consume more to have enough electricity to get through the day. For anyone who is constantly ingesting these foods, changing to cereals and other complex carbohydrates will assist you to have more strength while taking in less. Great blog post.
