Make our own Happiness

Back to reality after my awesome holiday… one thing resonates in my heart… the feeling of joys of living as I traveled. Learning to make my own happiness daily πŸ™‚

So this card is just for that… I / You, we can make our own happiness. I love the use of this charm – fairy riding the snail and having a wee of a time. Life is like that sometimes, the simplest things makes us the happiest and they are free. We just need to stop, take a moment to breathe in and enjoy the moment and laugh silly if need be and let all those muscles relax and let wrinkled grin brighten our face and world. What a joy!

This card has been loosely inspired by this wonderful sketch by Wendi over at 365cards Super Sketchy Sunday weekly challenge. Make sure you hop on and play. We are having some exciting news for you this year over at 365cards, not to be missed. So stay tuned :)!

Appreciation is the Memory of the Heart

Oh wow, its Sunday again. This week has been an interesting week, I went with Β a couple of friends to support Bersih 3.o rally, an eventful day with mixed feelings on seeking a free and fair electoral reform in Kuala Lumpur. I will definitely share more in my next post.

I made this one layer card for this week Super Sketchy Challenge over at 365cards. I love combining elements from my various stamp set, making them more versatile and value worth :). Using various stamps from Papertrey ink and Clean and Simple for this card inspired by the lovely sketch by Pam M πŸ™‚

Signature Sentiment

One of my favorite sentiment {heart}

Hi peeps,

I am sharing with you a card today… by 365cards Day 301 Flashback Monday … I have chosen to do Day 29 Signature Sentiment as my challenge. The sentiment that I have chosen is beautiful and meaningful, to encourage me to continue to believe in myself, my potential and the courage to rise up to the challenge in new or unknown situations.. haha.. esp now, that I am on a crossroad, do I choose to go back to the corporate world, or do I choose a different path for myself…

Its a very simple kraft card, but dear to my heart. I hope you like this sentiment that I have chosen too πŸ˜€

Have a good day all πŸ™‚

Simple kraft card - stamping with bit of glitter and simple bow tie

Today is my last day of my break and I start a new job tomorrow, 1st June. Feeling a little anxious, anxious coz my break has past me by and anxious because, I am moving back into training and development-my dream job, in a totally new industry – retail.. feeling anxious cos, I worry I have forgotten how to do it.. heheheh.. I worry too much dont I, thats why I need to craft… to take my minds off things.. hahaha! Thank God for the blessing for crafting in my life πŸ™‚ and my bloggy friends to journey with me.. for I am not alone *wink*.

I can only thank God for His grace and blessings in my life at the moment, coz I have been thru a lot, and this has been a healing journey for me… heart!

I made this card for myself, to encourage myself as I begin this new journey .. to believe in myself, in what I can do, and just be my best! :). This card is inspired by Less is More challenge.. another very simple card, just stamping and distressing. Love this sentiment stamp from Unity…and fern from pti

……. say a prayer for me, yeah, that my health is steady to endure the demands of the job and that I know how to learn to relax and let go when I need to *wink*.. many thanks!

Also to share.. some pics.. of the food I whipped up during the short break. I hardly cook but when I do, I can cook up a storm.. luckily hubby appreciates them… I shall miss cooking when I start my new job.. enjoy… yes.. I have been making western dishes.. and will share more of local dishes when I do cook them.. (will have to wait for my next cooking binge :P)

one of my favourite dip : Basil leave, olive oil, garlic, pine nut, lemon juice and parmesan cheese blend.
Cubed baquette drizzled in extra virgin olive oil and toasted... crunchy yums
Simple breakfast with hubby πŸ™‚ : Black pepper sausage, scrambled eggs with cheese and parsley, buttered bread and coffee πŸ™‚
Salad with cherry tomatos, dressing balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, parmesan cheese and top it off with my crunch olive toast
Another hearty breakfast of bacon, sunny side up eggs, buttered bread πŸ™‚
Baked pizza - lebanese bread base, spread with basil pesto and tomato prasatta, ingredients of diced tomato, capsicum of red/green/yellow, onion, ham, shitake mushroom and lotsa cheese toppings.
Angel hair pasta with capsicum of red, yellow & green, shitake mushroom, ham, with extra virgin olive oil, cayenne pepper and herbs, topped it with grated parmesan cheese πŸ™‚

I am grateful for these moments….

monarch butterfly.. I heart this πŸ™‚

Hey all πŸ™‚

Happy morning.. today I share a simple card I made for myself {smile}, yeah..some pamper me time πŸ˜€

A very simple and quick essemble.. no stamping at all.. πŸ™‚ just a little play in the morning as I awake.

I had just gotten this gorgeous Quikcutz Monarch butterfly, that I had been eyeing for ages, and it finally came to my LSS.. Hugs to you Elizabeth, for letting me know :).

I was inspired with the use of butterfly at CASE Study Challenge #49. Had been meaning to play, so I did this morning :), first time playing CASE Study. I had die cut this beauty on a coaster material, embellish it with prima rose, lay it over the doily :). I had used prima pp.. I am just in love with Jack & Jill line, so soft and pretty… I cut it to size to fit my 41/4 by 5.5 in card, used my finger and versamark ink to run the edges of the pp.. oh so fun!. An I had gotten this sentiment from stash and put a strip of lace with it…. done in less than 15min.

I love the softness, a little for myself, that I am grateful for these crafty moments :D. Okie.. gotta run. Thanks for dropping .. love and hugs…

this is entered for Papertake Weekly – anything goes πŸ™‚

Hi peeps….

This is my 3rd post today…. wheeeeeeeee ”’ :D. Β Scroll down for Wishing You a Happy Birthday and Lots of Lurve, Sew Many Cards Friday VALENTINE challenge. πŸ™‚

I had just wanted to participate in Colour Q after I have seen so many gorgeous creations……

3 pinks, white and kraft all in a card… set me thinking the whole evening. Finally, this is what I had decided. No stamping, just placement, fixing and gluing :p.

I had used kraft base, chipboard dreams ( from american craft I think coz, I just dont have the habits of keeping it covers :p), ribbon, the flower ribbon is from a local bookstore. I finished it off with my handmade crocheted doilies and a button.

You have a chance to win some of the handmade doilies in my blog-versary candy… just leave me a comment for a draw on Feb Β 16 πŸ™‚

Thanks for dropping by peeps.. and for your love :D. Have a great weekend.

Celebrate Today Tag

Hi peeps,

Just a small crafty work – made a tag for a friend whom I met up yesterday.

Today I share with you a tag.. sorry about the pic. I was in a hurry when I took this.. hmm…

Since rather long time ago that I made a stamped tag, rather simple, but I loved the end result. I had used Skipping Stones Dandelion Dreams. I love this set, it has very delicate ferns that I can see many uses for. I had stamped it in 3 different colours using Versamagic, versafine, memories. The background and sentiment is from pti. Distressed it with Rangers distress inks and finished it off with a grossgrain ribbon and twine tie.

A simple one. Hope you like this one… Thanks for dropping by :).. hugs xx
