Happy Birthday

Oh my… its been almost a week since my last blog. I was a little dismay.. coz, this is my last full week of crafting but didnt get anything done till today.. I caught stomach flu last Thursday and it developed into a full blown chesty cough and I was literally croaking the last couple of days. This nasty flu I had gotten from my hubby… thanks for sharing dear :p. Only the last two days, I had felt much better and today I decided I will make a card when I went to collect my pti parcel :p.

This card is a bit of old and new stamps (both 1st timers) . I had followed loosely this Thursday sketch by 365cards. Gail, my fellow 365cards buddy, popped by and I felt so encouraged that I decided to play this challenge. Thanks Gail :D.

a Butterfly and a Rose …

Butterfly and a Rose

Hey all,

I am just relishing my crafting time before work starts.. I will be away this weekend, this leaves me less than a full week to craft day long :p.

I am sharing with you something from my stash that is more than a year old, Practical Scrapper this week challenge, and I love it coz I have so much unused stuff over a year old :). And for this challenge I had chosen the beautiful Heart Winged Butterfly by Hero Arts. I have collected quite a fair bit of butterfly (everything)  and have not use this stamp :(. bad me. So I am glad to take this out..

Its a simple card, really and the colour combo is from Colour Create challenge. I had stamped the butterfly all over on the scalloped pink cardstock with Versamark Champagne. It kinda gives it a little shimmer shadow look. I had it stitched in two different pattern (getting adventurous here *wink* and adhere it to the brown cardstock. I tied a satin/rayon ribbon over and tied a white rose over. I had earlier stamped and embossed this butterfly with Tim Holtz Distress powder – tattered rose & aged mahogany mixed. and layered them and blinged it with white pearls. Quite like the look of it. I am a little crazy now over flowers/roses embellishes and ribbons…. 🙂

The Happiness sentiment

Hey all 😀

Today, I am sharing a very simple card I made based loosely on Clean & Simple FTL 99 sketch which I found so lovely to do simple clean cards and a chance to add some sweet embellishment.

This is the first time I am using these kind of gorgeous pop up flowers. Also, marked the first outing of the  the background argyle stamp, sentiment and embossed folder:D. So I am so thrilled with it.

I heart this sentiment which I had gotten from dear Amy’s spring sale this year. They are from Stampin’ Up (Happy Harmony)on Happiness.. cos I think sometimes “feelings” or “meaning of a word” is overstudied, philosophised and thought, we forget the essence of its simplicity in our life. What beautiful saying by Gandhi.. Happiness is when what I think, what I say and what I do are in Harmony!!

Sometimes, I tend to overthink certain things that I have said, thought or do.. and they are all in conflict.. giving me worries and stress and feel that happiness does elude me so often. I then, remember the times, when I sit by the garden, looking at the strength and gentleness of the beautiful flowers and nature, the touch of caress by the gentle wind against my face and my heart and mind calms down to what a beautiful moment it is, and that little happiness within, that was overshadowed by so many thoughts and worries, has the chance to emerge and embrace me. I feel one with my surrounding, I feel connected once more to nature, world and God. I feel happy and at peace! 🙂

So for this card, I have chosen a simple rugged background(embossed), sand it a little.. ribbon tie, and this beautiful sentiment, with a pop of colour and nature. :D. I hope you love this card as I do..

Happy Monday :). Dont ya think, its a day that needed the most boost after a relaxing weekend. No Monday blues for me today! 🙂

I would like to share with you a card I made today, a happy smiley sunny card! A card to cheer your day coz you are my sunshine 🙂 I am glad to share that I have used these two new stamps ( over 1 year old), the kite is probably 3 months old from Practising Creativity, and I doodled the tail :). I had fun making this. so much fun and challenges to play. Check out the challenges.:)

Hi all, how has your Sunday been? Mine has been rather eventful 🙂 and a little crazy lol. My hubby had an important meeting, while I hop over to a local button shop to look for some stuff. We then checked out a local home deco shop, as I was told that this place has  some fabbie ribbons.. Ribbons are totally expensive here and so little choices, so I was just a little too thrilled to find this shop :D. Got myself some ribbons, husband closed an eye.. and wahla.. I have just increased my ribbon collection. 🙂

Ok this card, as those who have been following me, would know that I am taking out all  my unused stamps from now till end of July.. So I am so glad to used this stamp that I had gotten from dear Amy earlier this year. I love this Fashion Statement set.. Checkout my sewing, it has improved, I got the thread changed to a better quality ones 🙂 

This simple card is so so dedicated to a very dear friend, who has been my angel. You know who you are Angel :). Thank you for journeying with me 🙂 xxx…

I am making myself take out my stamps and play, especially those untouched. So over the next few weeks, esp before I start my full time job, I will try to play and use more of my goodies.. including cricut… thanks Jan.. everytime when I see your wonderful work, I think of my cricut 🙂 

Today, I have broken out two new things.. one the spellbinder Label 1 and pti vintage picnic set. I quite like this set.. coz I thought it is quite versatile in terms.. if I want to send wishes, flowers.. this set is quite a nice touch with some of the personal attachments :). 

Oh yeah.. check out my stitching.. lots more to improve. I have this gorgeous sewing machine that I have gotten 5 years ago with the aspiration of being a good homemaker, it is totally under utilised:p.. m trying to do more stitching… the stitching is kinda loose, not firm… any idea why.. I am trying to figure it out. Otherwise, it spoils the card. So more stitching too, now onwards!

Celebrate!!!

Hi all, have a great weekend :). My weekend has been kinda slow and I rested a bit more from a hectic week. Just firmed up some arrangement with my new boss, :D.. I will start work in August.. and new office is just one floor above a LSS.. oh my.. there goes my salary n pocket :p. I have already acquired an enormous amount of everything.. :p.

 Today I am so glad to share with you a card I made for moxie fab world fabulous Tuesday Trigger.. awesome colours and designs. I have broken two new stuff today.. ie woodgrain pti stamp and polka dots ribbon for this card. I thought I funk up the background using the woodgrain stamp with memories black ink. And decorate it with the fabbie in bloom cutouts :). I love these challenges.. it challenges you to break out of the box and go into the unknown..

hi hi :D… this is my 3rd post for the day.. super productive day… besides work and card :)… So scroll down for my two earlier posts :D…

So I miss playing 365cards.. and I wanted to play Day 135 White Space.. something about the circles..

This is really a CAS card and I had recycled the sunflower, it was from something that I dont use anymore 🙂 and I thought it look perfect here.

I had used this gorgeous cardstock from Bazzill, ink pti spot dot ( I heart this set.. its so versatile) with pti raspberry fizz ( somehow the colours didnt come out as I wish) and stamped it to the corner. I had adhere the happy sunflower onto the middle of the stamped area. I stamped the celebrate sunshine sentiment (dear lizzy) and round the corners and that’s it.

Just a simple, simple card.. but I do love it, cos it so bright and cheery..  Hope this card brightens your day too 😀

I saw this fun challenge at Moxie Fab World – Lets Do Clean and Graphic. I thought this is a perfect time to try something different :). You ought to try this. This is my first time… hmm I would love to try Tuesday Trigger as well, so vibrant.

Loving Kraft, I had chosen kraft as base, gorgeous owlie sticker that screams You’re a Hoot was a must play. Other elements, are my usual favorites.. grass, flowers and banners. I have enjoyed this very much and thought I celebrate this with you, coz you guys are a hoot! 😀
